Club Island Opening Day is almost here, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back to our little piece of paradise!
We hope to see as many members as possible out on the island to help us get everything ready for the season ahead. Many hands make light work, and there will be job description sheets available for the various tasks that need to be completed around the island.It’s a great chance to lend a hand, reconnect with fellow members, and kick off another wonderful season at Club Island.

After a morning of working together to get Club Island ready for the season, we invite all volunteers to join us for a well-deserved meal and some great fellowship. It’s our way of saying thank you for the many hands that help keep our island the special place we all enjoy. -

The 2026 Commodore’s Ball promises to be a memorable evening as Commodore Scott Gutschow and First Lady Kelly host a wonderful celebration at the beautiful Grosse Pointe Yacht Club.
This special night is one of the most important events of the year for the Clinton River Boat Club, bringing members together for an elegant evening of camaraderie, celebration, and tradition.
Be sure to RSVP and purchase your tickets early so you don’t miss this incredible event honoring our Commodore and the spirit of our club.

This special gathering is a great opportunity to fire up the grills, enjoy great food, and spend time with fellow members in the beautiful Club Island setting. Come out for a laid-back afternoon of good company, waterfront views, and classic cookout favorites as we celebrate the season together.

Island Beautification Day and Lunch Island Beautification Day and Lunch

Club Island Beautification Day is a wonderful opportunity for members to come together and help keep our island looking its best for the season ahead.
Volunteers will work side-by-side to clean up landscaping, freshen up docks and common areas, and take care of the many small projects that make Club Island such a special place for all of us. Many hands truly make light work, and it’s also a great chance to spend time with fellow members while helping prepare our beautiful island paradise for another great summer.
Your CRBC flag will provide Lunch for everyone as a thank you.

Game on! The CRBC takes on the Old Club in our annual Pickleball Tournament Rendezvous — three days of friendly rivalry, great sportsmanship, and plenty of off-court fun. Thursday kicks off with a CRBC-hosted Wine Tasting to welcome our guests. Friday is for practice sessions and enjoying the Old Club’s amenities. Saturday is tournament day — paddles up, game faces on. May the best club win (but let’s be honest, we like our chances).

Then gather for the Labour Day Dinner to raise a glass to another unforgettable season on the water. Summer may be ending, but the memories are just getting started.

We’ll button up the club, share one final lunch on the water, and swap stories from another incredible year. It’s bittersweet, but it’s also a reminder of everything we have to look forward to next season.
